A Day in the Life of a Busy Bee

Daily Schedule (See Schedule)

So you may have a better understanding of how your child’s education is structured, we have included a schedule of what a typical day looks like.  

Early Morning and Friday Class Schedule

  • 8:00am - 8:30: Gross motor skill practice and homework turn in and Small Group Art Project/Enrichment Activity 

  • 8:30 - 9:00: Carpet Time – during this time we will do the following:           

  • Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem

  • Good Morning Song

  • Calendar and Weather Report
 
  • Review of Shapes and Colors
 
  • Monthly Poem
 
  • Zoo phonics

  • Number rock
 
  • 9:00am - 9:10 Gross Motor Songs and Activity and bathroom trips

  • 9:10am - 9:20: Learning Center Introductions

  • 9:20am - 10:10: Learning Centers (15-17 minutes each with 3 minutes for clean up and transition)

  • 10:15 - 10:35am: Bathroom Break, snack time and gross motor play

  • 10:40am -10:50am Story Time (Tuesday author of the month and Thursday student favorite pick)

  •  10:50am-11:00am: Closing Carpet Time
 
  • Class Journal
 
  • Poem

  • Sharing Can and Estimation Jar
 
  • 11:00am: Dismissal

Afternoon Class Schedule

  • 11:30am-12:00: Gross motor skill practice and homework turn in and Small Group Art Project/Enrichment Activity 
         12:00pm- Snack Time
 
           12:15pm : Carpet Time – during this time we will do the following:           
  • Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem

  • Zoo phonics
 
  • Number rock
 
  • 12:15pm-12:25pm: Gross Motor Songs and Activity and bathroom trips

  • 12:25pm - 12:35pm: Learning Center Introductions

  • 12:25pm-1;00pm:  2 Rotation of Learning Centers (15 minutes each with 3 minutes for clean up and transition)
 

      1:20am 1:50pm-  2 Rotation of Learning Centers (15 minutes each with 3 minutes for clean up and 

 transition)
  • 1:40 - 2:10pm: Story Time (Tuesday author of the month and Thursday student favorite pick)

  •  2:10: Closing Carpet Time

  • Class Journal
